Daniel Schwartz is a practicing nephrologist at the Royal Columbia Hospital and medical lead for the Fraser Health peritoneal dialysis program.

He received his training at the University of British Columbia and University of Toronto. His clinical interests are focused on peritoneal dialysis, interventional nephrology and advanced CKD management.

He also has a keen interest in knowledge translation at the point of care and the intersection of information technology with clinical medicine.

Steven D. Soroka is Professor of Medicine at Dalhousie University, and a Nephrologist in the Department of Medicine within the Nova Scotia Health Authority.

He received his medical degree at the University of Saskatchewan in 1990, followed by a rotating internship and internal medicine in Saskatoon, and a Nephrology Fellowship in Edmonton, Toronto and London ON.

He has completed the two-year fellowship in Executive Training for Research Application (EXTRA Program), which is sponsored by the Federal Government through the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation, and is a member of the Canadian College of Health Service Executives.

He was a medical advisor to the Nova Scotia Provincial Renal Program for six years, and the Physician Lead of the Capital District Renal Program (Medical Director of Capital Health Hemodialysis and Renal Clinic) for ten years before becoming the VP of Medicine for Capital Health in January of 2013 and then the Executive Medical Director of the Central Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority from April to August 2015. He was on the Transition Design team for District Health consolidation in Nova Scotia from June 2014 until March 2015 Dr Soroka has been a surveyor for Accreditation Canada since 2008. He was also the medical director of Nephrology clinical trials for 12 years.

In 2009 he was the recipient of the Dr. Willam Grigor Award, which is given to a physician under the age of 50 who has made an outstanding contribution benefiting the health of Nova Scotians, as well as the Dalhousie University R. Wayne Putman Award for Outstanding Contributions to Community CME.

He has been the Senior Medical Director or the Nova Scotia Health Authority Renal Program and Pharmacy Services since 2016.
